Our THREE hour barista introductory  course covers the basic knowledge for you to enter the world of coffee. Designed and delivered by Andy Liu NSW Barista Champion.
Our small classes ensure participants receive individual attention and are taught using state of the art equipment in our roastery/cafe.

  4. Grinder/Coffee Machine calibration
  5. Barista skills
  6. Workflow and routine development
  7. Quality control of espresso
  8. Texturing milk
  9. Basic latte art/Etching

Espresso Workshop2

Choose your next Espresso Workshop:

Our THREE hour espresso course will help you identify and refine all the key variables that go into making espresso based coffee. Designed and delivered by Andy Liu NSW Barista Champion.

Our small classes ensure participants receive individual attention and are taught using state of the art equipment in our roastery/cafe.

Roastville Agenda:

  1. Basic cupping
  2. How to describe coffee flavours
  3. Sensory training
  4. Variables of temperature/pressure/grind size
  5. Introduction of TDS
  6. How to develop an espresso recipe/ extraction curve
  7. Balance taste between espresso and milk
  8. Espresso evaluation

Latte Art Workshop2

Choose your next Latte Art Workshop:

Coffee appreciation takes many forms from taste and lasting flavours to the intricately designed latte art.

Our three hour Latte Art workshop designed by Andy Liu will give you the core skills that are needed to make the perfect cup.

Andy has coached many Barista Champions and is known for his signature Chicken and the Roster Latte Art.

Roastville Agenda:

  1. How to judge a good latte art
  2. Intro of free pour
  3. How to choose your milk pitchers
  4. Make good espresso
  5. Free pour techniques
  6. Three basic patterns Rosetta/Heart/Tulip
  7. Advanced latte art
  8. How to design your signature art
  9. Combination of Etching and free pour

Cupping session

For a sensory experience, come join us 2pm every Saturday!

What You Will Learn:

1. Tasting an array of coffees from different origins around the world
2. Coffee Fragrance and Aroma Analysis
3.Introduction to coffee flavour profile
4.Learn how to evaluate: Flavour, Aroma, Aftertaste, Acidity, Body, Uniformity, Balance and Sweetness.

Duration: 1 hour
Maximum class size: 6 students – We like to keep our class sizes small!
